Pegasus solid vinyl 1953 ‘War of the Worlds’ Martian
This is the Martian from George Pal's 1953 movie 'War of the Worlds'. This kit was a fairly simple build. I base coated it in Tamiya spray bomb fine grey primer. After that, the hardest part was hand painting all of the veins and arteries on its head and arms. When that was finished, I airbrushed an overall coating of Vallejo Skin Wash ink, which worked so perfectly, I didn't have to do anything else except seal it with Tamiya Semi-Gloss clear. The base was also treated with Tamiya Fine Grey primer. That was followed with a coat of Future, then a wash with Mig Ammo grey wash for German greys. Wiped and then sealed with Dul-Cote. A little dry brushing for the assorted wood debris, and some work on the assorted parts.
Certainly is eye-catching, George (no pun intended) - lol 🙂
What's not to like!?!
Aye a fine build! Still love that movie.

Always did like that movie, be it the old black and white classic , the one with Tom Cruise version or the made for TV version.
Good work on that figure.
The 1953 George Pal version is in glorious three strip Technicolor! That's how I could get the colour right. Thanks for the compliment on the figure.
"The book To Serve Man , it's a cook book !" Nice touch.
