Wow...I guess I never realized just how many tie downs it took to keep an F-14 restrained...looks like at least a dozen (especially in that head-on shot).
Bob, great series of on board photos. Where is the Phantom on your six story from? The Approach?
Approach magazine was Navair safety magazine, sorry to say I did not keep the article, Apparently it made a forced landing on a highway some where, I do remember he had enlisted mechanic in the back seat, all else I don't recall.
