  1. Now how cool is that ? Awesome birthday for sure. It doesn't get much better than this.

  2. This is the kid who last summer spent 30 minutes talking (knowledgeably) to Buzz Aldrin about the space program, after which he announced he was getting his Bachelor's and Master's in aeronautical engineering, after which he's going to go to work for Space-X. (My personal bet is crew on the first Mars expedition). He reads three books a week on his own (I just gave him "the Foundation Trilogy") and just finished Book #4 of the Harry Potter books. Did I happen to mention how happy I am that another of us Cleaver Apergian creative types made it through?

  3. Oh, and he's getting those degrees at Cal Tech.

  4. Cleaver kid Tom, I wish him well ! also I like the Kittyhawk 450 Sqn RAAF !

  5. Hooray for you getting young Nathan interested in airplanes! You wrote:

Watching Steve Hinton fly plus meeting him, and doing it in a P-38! What's not to like?! It doesn't get much better than that! Reminds me of when (I was a bit older than Nathan) I got to watch, then meet the late, great Cole Palen at the Old Rheinbeck Aerodrome. Nathan will never forget his experience!
