Pz.Kpfw. I Ausf. F (FlyHawk 1/72)

September 9, 2018 · in Armor · · 12 · 2.1K

Tiny tank in tiny scale (for Armor). I don't build AFV models frequently, but sometimes it's good to change something, even in your hobby. This one looks interesting to me, especially that side doors. FlyHawk kit is nearly excellent – molding quality, PE parts, metal barrels, separated track links (in 1/72 scale!), and even a some kind of a display stand. It was a real pleasure to build it. For painting (as I know very little about painting and weathering AFW) I've chosen B&W technique by Jose Luis Lopez (here it is – http://jllopezstyle.com/tiger-i-bw-technique/), and it was an interesting experiment to me.

Thanks for watching!

  1. Nice presentation, sir...I like everything about it.

  2. It’s tiny even for the usual armour scale I bet. Can you post a coin or a lighter next to it for dimensional effect?
It’s a gem, very nicely detailed (again it looks like a regular 1/35) and painted

    • @holzhamer Thank you Pedro! I have something like that 🙂

  3. That is one cool and awesome little tank. Love it!

  4. That's very nice. Particularly since it looks as well-detailed as what one would expect in 1/35.

  5. Dmitry. I was very surprised how small 1/72 scale and even 1/48 scale tanks are in comparison to model airplanes of the same scale. So to see this little dude this well done is very impressive.
    Well done !

  6. Beautiful work, I love 1/72 scale! Great weathering!
