IPMS Dayton Wright Flyers Annual Show
Spent a great Saturday at Dayton's annual show. Lots of vendors with some great deals and a total of 623 models on display. Below are just a sample of the quality of models that were on the tables. Bonus was talking to iModelers, Rick Wilkes, Al Hoffman, Jim Harley and Tim Melick. Added bonus was my Bronze Award for the old Tamiya 1/48 A6M-2 Zero which I entered in the OOB Category for all scales. Nice job Dayton for putting on a fine show.
Some nice work displayed here, Tom...and congrats on your award - thanks for sharing.
I particularly like that U-boat. A lot of imagination, creativity and talent there. My candidate for Best of Show.
And congratulations on your Zero, Tom!
Thank you very much for sharing, Tom!
Thanks for sharing, Tom. Nice job on the Zero. Very nice work all around but I'll have to say that the U-boat stands out as my favorite too.
What a surprise I got, it’s my first time on iModeler and what do I see but my Thunderbird! It sure was a great show. Tons of really cool models and displays. Took a few pics myself. One of my favorites was the 40 Willies doing a burnout from the box it came in(pic 21 top right). Congrats on your award, thats a sweet Zero!
Great show and great to meet everyone. Congrats on the Zero...I thought sure the P-40 would pick an award. Perfect day! some more photos to compliment Tom's post 🙂

Man oh man ! That F4U is superb ! They all are really wonderful models, it's just the F4U is my favorite pane so I'm biased.
I took a bunch of photos of this one...it was stunning!
Real nice! Good going on the Zero. FedEx shuttle is cool.
Thanks for posting this for us Tom. It's always a good day when some friends can get together and look at some airplanes... 🙂
It's even better when you can bring home an award ! Well done buddy, and congrats with the Zero .
