1/350 Imperial Russian Battleship Knyaz Suvorov

September 22, 2019 · in Ships · 11 · 5.8K

1/350 Scale (Zvezda)

This kit is so terrible.
In the end, I omitted a lot of this. I wanted to give up more than a dozen times. I didn't even have the will to paint. I don't want to look at this again.

I want to attach meaning to the fact that I have built and painted this to the end.

This is the first time that I've ever been so unmotivated.

But I love this ship very much, so it was even more painful.

  1. You could have fooled me about it, had you not said anything. 🙂

Looks good - another Won-Hui triumph of talent over kit.

  2. A Won-Hui ugly duckling is everyone else's swan...

  3. If this is how unmotivated looks to you, please stay so. Ship looks wonderfully angry and on the hunt for something to eat. Only thing I lack is some signal flags or so...

  4. Certainly can't tell from looking at it that it was a "failure" in your eyes. 🙂

  5. Sometimes angst generated by obstacles only focuses our resolve to see a build come to fruition. It’s refreshing to hear you express that element which all us modelers universally experience. Please keep sharing your amazing work!

  6. Had more than a few kits like this where I lost motivation even looking at it. Those kits are satisfying to complete, but I always have nagging doubts every time I look at the completed model.

    Still an amazing maritime diorama.

  7. I think you did very well to finish the model at this high level.
The rigging and the weathering of the hull are excellent.

  8. Looks fantastic! Thanks for enduring to the end - the rest of us are grateful.

  9. Yeogiseodu bone!^^

  10. Very very nice.
So, please tell, why was it so bad to build. I have one in my stash waiting to be built and would like to know!
