NAKAJIMA Ki-27A Nate Japanese WW2 military aircraft scale model.

Technical data: built out of RS Models kit + some photo etched parts.
Building hours: 110

History: The (九七式戦闘機 Kyūnana-shiki sentōki, or Type 97 Fighter) was the main fighter aircraft used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force up until 1940. Its Allied nickname was "Nate", although it was called "Abdul" in the "China Burma India" (CBI) theater by many post war sources; Allied Intelligence had reserved that name for the nonexistent Mitsubishi Navy Type 97 fighter, expected to be the successor to the Type 96 carrier-borne A5M with retractable landing gear and an enclosed cockpit.

  1. Hi Bhadez,

You may want to change the title as is says Vought F4U 1D CORSAIR rather then Nakajima Ki-27?

    Otherwise great build!

    Peter

  2. Very cool little plane... I like the colorful schemes they occasionally wore, Yours looks fantastic, and I like how you have it displayed on a mirrored base. I built two of the larger Hasegawa 1/48 scale versions.

Just a little hint, you can go back and edit the "tags" on the article and include "Ki-27". That way it will show up on the Imodeler Ki-27 page when people search for it too.

Well done my friend, and "liked"

  3. Very sharp Nate!

  6. Very nice! love the color scheme!

  7. Great build. I really like the colour scheme.

  8. Delicate work there, many thanks for posting!

  9. Excellent 1/72 work. Is that a vac-form canopy? Looks beautifully thin and clear.

  10. Love it (since I'm partial to 1/72!). Love the nice distressed look to the light grey finish. A nice build all the way around.
