John or Nathan?
In an effort to get back to archiving the models in my collection, I present my version of the Fort Duquesne Military Miniatures 7th Cavalry Officer in 1/9th scale. It’s pretty obviously based on John Wayne as Captain Nathan Brittles. I painted this one back in the mid 90’s using oils over acrylic base colors.
I'd have to say there's a little Buddy Ebsen (who in later years bore a resemblance to DeForest Kelly) in his face too! Great job on the bust because figure painting is something more than a few of us haven't gotten the hang of!
