Tamiya 1/35th Scale Willy's WWII Jeep Build

February 1, 2020 · in Armor · 6 · 2.6K

I always wanted to build this little kit! I was in-between commission builds so I went to my hobby shop to look around and I saw this kit and I had to buy it!

I built this little kit in just a few days, and what a fun kit this is! Tamiya really knocks it out of the park with their 1/35th scale kits and I highly recommend this kit.

I used lots of weathering techniques and Tamiya paints on this build. I scratch built details in the engine bay, but that was about all I need to do. This model is only a few inches in length, I wasn't prepared for how tiny it is!

I hope you enjoy!

  2. I built one o these when I first got back into modeling.SOB is really small. Yours is MUCH better! Great work!

  3. Thanks Matt! It is such a tiny kit, but really fun to build. Everyone should build one of these!

  4. I agree, everyone should build one! They are detailed and a lot of fun. I built mine for my father in law, since he drove one as an MP in Stuttgart in 1952. He was pleased, but said his was more “shiny”!

  5. Awesome! Thanks Jeff!
