1/72 Hasegawa Ki67 Type 4 Hiryu (Peggy)

Here's my Peggy that I built for the here on iModeler. Everything went together well. The wings fit so well that you can leave them off for painting. Some who have built this kit had trouble with a large step on the top of the fuselage when fitting the clear nose piece. Luckily, I did not, perhaps because after reading those reviews, I took extra care to ensure the cross-section of the forward fuselage stayed correct as I was gluing everything together. There are portions of the forward fuselage to be filled in with other parts, so it would be easy to get an incorrect cross section.

Given the extensive glazing on the clear parts (well over 100 panes), I used a mask set from Eduard.

The brown/green (which looks more brown in these pictures due to lighting) is Vallejo Model Air "Hemp". It's over a Light Sea Gray (Model Master Acryl) underside. Mission Models "Propeller Color" used on the props and spinners.

Cheers!
Mike
