1/72 Scale F-107A Jet
I drove down from San Jose, CA to the airplane graveyard that was near Tucson, Arizona in 1986 and took lots of photos, not knowing that someday there would be a plastic kit of this F-107A jet. The first 4 photos are the ones I took and the next 3 were acquired via the internet. This excellent kit was produced by "TRUMPETER." The model was built O.O.B, but I did make a stainless steel pitot tub, by using 2 "tubes" that I had in stock.
I have used the white flexible paper for a long time and just pin it to the wood box item and then tape it to the top of my workbench. It make an excellent background for taking photos of my models. I also use different colored paper.
Very nice build of this unusual plane, Rodney.
Definitely worth the 1st place you achieved.
Never saw this plane before but I will go search for some information now.
The real one is now restored and it's at the Pima museum...go take a look at it and all the other planes they have.
Well done Rodney, looks lovely.
Cool looking build!
Very neat work, as always.
Thanks to all the nice comments! I like winning award and when I had to quit modeling in 2017, I accumulate 301 trophies...not bad for a novice modeler. I'll go find a photo of my models awards hanging on my model room wall and post it.
Rodney
Excellent job and excellent kit choice!
Well done Rodney!
