First Anime Model

Here's something a little different for my 80th article here on iModeler. I've always been intrigued by some of the various anime models out there and while visiting family in LA before the “Great Hunkering Down” I found this in a cool little store in Japan town. I don't know anything about the Diver Nami series, I just thought the figure looked cool so I bought it to give one a try.

The model comes in molded in various colors of plastic so no painting is required. I added a little shading in some recessed areas to add some depth. The kit also includes stickers for certain areas like the eyes and belts.

It was a fun model to make. I learned much from it and plan on doing another similar model in the future, but with a more elaborate paint job.
