Revell Mosquito Conversion

December 30, 2020 · in Aviation · 4 · 1.5K

I come not in search of praise but help! So far this conversion has gone not too badly. Various Eduard parts and aftermarket undercarriage. Grey Matter nose, without which job would be impossible. Pleased with side door and cockpit. Not showing engine or open bomb bays etc. I can complete this model. I even have rockets for a Banff Strike Wing aircraft.

HOWEVER I am stumped with the cockpit canopy. I cannot find an after market canopt for an FB Mosquito anywhere. I tried hacking the Revell canopy..nuff said. What kills it is having to hack out the side bubbles too. I ordered a Tasman vaccform Revell canopy. If it comes to it I'll finish it and park it with a wrong canopy until one shows up.

The other small issue is the cannon ejector holes on the bottom of the bomb bay. Might draw them on with black sharpie! 🙂

  1. Falcon made one long ago. Only one I know of.

  2. It's a testament to this kit that aftermarket items intended for Tamiya fit perfectly. I'm thinking especially of the Scale Aircraft Conversions Undercarriage.

  3. Progress. Props are wrong too of course. Flattened the tips a bit .
