Mikoyan-6 (Mi-6) 1/72 Amodel

February 14, 2021 · in Aviation · 11 · 2.6K

Hello, friends and guests of the site!

It's been a long time since I've shown my work. Today I want to show you my latest model-the Mi-6 helicopter in 1/72 scale. Set from the company Amodel. The quality of the plastic is very poor. The details fit together horribly. The embroidery is completely absent in places. If any of you decide to collect this set, then be patient)).

When creating the model, I replaced some parts with homemade ones. For example, the handrails are made of wire. I used the wheels from the company Armory. Wiring on the rotors of propellers made of wire. The antenna thread is a thread from a school bow.

I hope the model will leave you with a pleasant impression.

  1. Fantastic work on kit and base! Well done.

  2. This is such an imposing model, Dmitry!
Congratulations on your skills and patience.
The base is absolutely stunning, too!

  3. That's really outstanding, Dmitry. I can appreciate the quality and amount of work you put into it because that has to be the worst kit in existance. Nothing fits and the molding is just terrible. I built the same kit and almost threw it away several times. Your efforts paid off. Well done.

  4. Colleagues, thank you for your attention to the work. George, I completely agree with you about the quality of the set. I also had a couple of times the desire to send the model flying through an open window )))

  5. I have to echo all the complements of the above gentlemen, Dmitry.
Great results on both, Mi-6 and diorama.
    An absolute "Like"

  6. Great work, Dmitry!

  7. You've made a top quality model out of this kit, Dmitry, and the base really sets it off a treat, definitely liked.

  8. The model indeed leaves me with a pleasant impression. A serious triumph of skill, talent, persistence and stubbornness over plastic. I like this a lot.

  9. I just completed an A-Model kit. Every part needed clean up, test fitting and adjustment.

Bravo on not just completing such a beast but doing it well.

  10. Guys, thank you so much for your kind words.
