Pz.kpfw VI Tiger sPzAbt 508 Anzio-Nettuno 1944
This article is part of a series:
Recently I finished my adventure with 1/24 scale planes and started playing with 1/16 scale tanks. I present my first model on this scale, which I worked on for 3 months. This is Tiger I from Boss Hobby. The model is very impressive, it is 52 cm long and 22 wide. It has a working suspension and tracks. Its biggest drawback is the complete lack of interior, but the details of the suspension and the MG 34 in the turret look really good. I made it in the colors of sPzAbt 508 during the fights at the bridgehead near Anzio in the spring of 1944.
I hope you like it.
Wow, that's a big Tiger, I especially like the tracks, you've got a great finish there. Definitely liked.
Amazing job, Wirgiliusz!
Congratulations!
You put the Tiger in the Tank ! Great work of patience and a real show piece.
Thanks for sharing.
The painting and the weathering totally work. The turret. . . the cast metal looks like metal .
Two thumbs up on this one.
Wow, BIG Tiger! Nice work!
Thank you guys for your comments. They encourage me to do my next projects.

Wow, great build! Was the zimmerit molded on in kit?
Yes of course. I used a wood putty.
