1/9th WLA 750 Harley Davidson finished.
Hey modeling friends,
Here is my completed 1/9th scale "Italieri" WLA 750 Harley Davidson.
Good kit, needs a lot of work and patience. I recreated the saddle bags, seat and holster from craft paper. Lots of weathering and detailing. I created a sling for the Tommy Gun.
This is a fun build just be aware the sprues have no callouts and the instructions are not very precise.
Other than that I enjoyed the 125 hours of building.
Damn near looks real. Well done, Rick
Thanks Gary!
I think this is the most realistic-looking model of anything I have ever seen. This looks like it must have 100,000 miles on it, most driven on dirt roads in rain and snowstorms. This is excellent work in all ways. Congratulations for such an excellent effort and superb result.
Tom,
That is an amazing compliment! Thanks for checking it out!
Much deserved.
She’s a real beauty. About how big is it?
Thanks Brian! It is 1/9th scale about 10 inches in length.
Amazing build Rick, it does look real, well done.
Thank you Allan!
Great to see this finished here, Rick, your extra detail work and weathering have really brought it to life.
Thank you so much George!
As they've said above you've done a great job on this build!
I appreciate it so much Robert!
A superb model in every respect, Rick! Build, extras, painting and weathering are excellent, the result being really unique!
Congratulations!
Thanks for that Spiros! It was a fun build
Amazingly realistic, Rick @rickschad
Lots of extras which made it even look better.
Well done.
Thanks John!
Great end result. Looks like you could get on and start kicking her over.
Thank you. Yes I don’t think these were electric start lol.
WOW Rick, that is absolutely fantastic in every respect. I can only dream of doing work like that!
Thanks so much Rory! Just takes patience and practice 😀
That’s really well done!
Thank you John!
Realism at the highest level. Super.
Thanks Bob!
Very nicely done! Beautiful detail and weathering. Like you said, the kit can be difficult at times but it is really a fun kit to build.
Thanks Tom! Yes it was a challenge only due to vague instructions and the unnumbered parts.
The instructions and the parts issue was why I downloaded the Army Field Manual. Because the kit parts mimicked the actual bike parts fairly well, the manual helped me identify the parts and where they went during the build. I would recommend that to anyone who builds this kit in the future.
I agree Tom! Thanks for sending me the manual as it was a big help!
Thanks again!
Great build Rick am assuming this is the ancient ESCI kit.
Very imposing in that scale. Nice one 👍
That’s what I’ve heard. It’s reboxed by Italeri. Thanks for checking it out!
