MCW Resin cast body – Replica of my 1971 Chevrolet Impala CUSTOM Coupe
I love building replicas of cars that I have owned. This was my daily driver back in 1977. MCW makes an awesome resin body, hood, bumpers, hubcaps and full interior of this car. I used an MPC 1976 Caprice as a donor. Painted in Factory GM Color "Sandalwood" with a 2KK Clear coat. Side molding and vinyl roof added with strip styrene. MCW has probably the BEST Resins kits out there. Love their stuff! Especially their paints!
She looks like a perfect copy of the car you owned, Thomes @moparpep
Great picture of yourself back in the 70's.
That's my beautiful sexy wife! Was a great car too!
Oeps, I didn't look carefully enough, my applologies. You are a very lucky man to have both, Thomas. @moparpep
Awesome!
She’s a beauty, and the Impala’s pretty good, too, a perfect replica of your car.
Excellent result, Thomas! I am amazed by the quality of the resin stuff!
I love builds that have an emotional connection to the builder. I can see the passion come through in this build. Can imagine the memories you had as you builds. Thanks for sharing—nice work.
Oh. My. Gosh. I did not know the MCW company existed, so I just now dropped a bunch of money on a resin 1969 Pontiac Bonneville - my first car. 😀 Yours looks great, and thanks for pointing me towards this great opportunity to build a memory!
Yes Michael Guest from MCW is a great guy! They just moved from Ohio to South Carolina with now a HUGE Hobby store. He is still doing his fantastic Lacquer and Enamel based paints, along with his resin bodies and kits as ordered purchases.

Brings back memories - my father had a 71 Impala, but a four door.
