Revell 1/24 Scale 1966 Ford Shelby GT350H

June 3, 2023 · in Automotive · · 7 · 381

I started this build MANY years ago with gold painted stripes under a clear coat. The Monogram Revell side decals were so bad that I couldn't use them. I contacted Revell two more times complaining that the side stripes went on milky with the script basically disappearing. The kit sat in the box for YEARS uncompleted. What is this car without the GT350H side stripes... NOTHING! I finally found Keith Marks that had a set of stripes. I finished this car Last winter and loved the way it turned out. This car was featured in my blog on here when I stopped the project.

  1. The Shelby looks perfect with the stripes on, Thomas @moparpep
    Well done.

  2. Great looking Mustang, Thomas. Was this another of the cars you owned?

    • No this is a replica of my neighbors car. He has an unmolested 66 GT350H. I was always fascinated about these car. My neighbors car has actual burn marks in the carpeting from a weekend racer welding in a roll bar, then removing it when they returned the car to Hertz!

  3. Looks perfect, Thomas! Great that you finished it!

  4. Turned out beautiful. Worth the wait.
