  1. Your build looks like you never left the hobby...well done and welcome to iModeler!

  2. What an admirable return to the hobby, John! This old kit is still probably the best 1/35 representation of the 222, and you've done a great job of dressing it up. Please let us know the source(s) of your extras: home-made or resin/3-D aftermarket - love the draping cloth items. Everything fits together quite well. Next time, try brightening up your camera setting a bit and use a plainer background so the wonderful details of your modeling craft stand out to their best effect. Congratulations for completing this beauty and many thanks for sharing with us!

    • Stowage items are a resin set from Legend (see photo). They are sold by Dragon-Hobby in their eBay store.

  3. Welcome to imodeler, John! Nice work on this one. That is a true classic. Most modelers have built one of those at one time or another. Stands the test of time.

  4. Wlecome back to the hobby and to iModeler, John @atjoe
Your first submission is a beautiful one.
    Well done.

  5. Welcome to iModeler! This first build is excellent. Looking forward to many more from you!

  6. It’s always good to see someone returning to this great hobby, you’ve certainly set yourself a high standard with this classic model. Welcome to iModeler.

  7. @atjoe - Fantastic work John, welcome to the community!

  8. Looks great! I like the add-ons. I remember building this same model back in the early 70s; your's looks much better than mine did.

I'm like you - returned to modeling after retiring. My big challenge now is where to put the models I've built. A few more, and I will have run out of space.

  9. Awesome job, John!
Indeed, retirement is a great time to restart the hobby.
    Welcome aboard!
