  1. Absolutely stunning! (@rbungay)

  2. Am I right that you use Bare Metal foil for your chrome trim? How hard is it to learn the technique - to keep the tip of your X-Acto blade going in a perfectly straight or curved line, and not wandering off?

    • I don't use foil, I paint it. After the clear coat has cured I just mask off the chrome areas and shoot Spaz Stix Mirror Chrome right over the clear coat. It takes a lot of masking but I can do the whole car in about an hour.

  3. That looks very real, Richard.

  4. 🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
A very good-looking and magnificent model Richard !
Good color choice and a very spectacular finish, even the chrome work looks fine.
    Nice clean modeling.

Now you're cooking with high octane gas ! Love it... I'm a dyed in the wool Mopar fanatic. I owned a 1970 'Cuda once, but it wasn't a Hemi car. However one of our old neighbors actually owned several of these Hemi Cars, with two of them being 'Cudas from 70 and 71 vintage.

This is a 1970 Challenger R/T that I restored for the same man who owned all of the Hemi cars. He wanted to T/A style hood and funky front spoiler.

This is a real R/T car and the original color. Dodge called it "Plum Crazy" while Plymouth called it "In Violet". The color was the same, only the name was changed. There's a rumor that Chrysler executives shot down the idea to call this color "Statutory Grape"... for the same reasons why the name "Demon" was cancelled from the Dodge lineup after only two years.

I have another friend who owns this beauty here... It's a semi-survivor car that has been featured in magazines. It's all original except for the tires and a paint job that happened in the early 1980's.

This 1971 'Cuda is a 340 car with an automatic.

Most excellent, and thanks for sharing your work with us..

  6. Excellent - the paintwork is spectacular!

  7. Very nice Cuda. I've always loved Mopars colors. Your paint work is great. I've always been a chevy guy but worked at a garage full of diehard Mopar fanatics when i was younger, and I helped build and work on some pretty bad a#$ Mopars so I have a soft spot for them.

  8. Clean, Richard! Your paintwork is phenomenal.

  9. Awesome job, Richard!
