Polikarpov I-16 type 5 RATA 1/72 Amodel
My newest model. He graduated a couple of hours ago.
It is Polikarpov I-16, it belonged unknown Squadron of Spaine Air Forces, San-Bone airbase, Morocco, 1939.
After the Civil War all I-16s aircrafts, which earlier belonged to the Spanish Republic Air Force were donated to the Spain Air Force, this aircraft was repainted in bright colors and was used for demonstrartion flights.
Martin, thank you! It is this color and inspired me to build this model.
Best regards, Vlad.
Another paint scheme I've never seen. I know it is 1/72nd scale & it was a small aircraft but what is the actual wing span on the model.
Very attractive & well built model Vlad.
Al Hoffman, thank you!
Wingspan of about 12.5 cm

Very sharp !
Philip, thanks for the sharp comment! 🙂
Best regards, Vlad.
Marvelous scheme, Vlad. That vanilla color on the wings certainly adds character to the racy black & white markings. Very clean work!
Eric, thank you!
