REPOP Resin 1/25 Scale 1971-72 Dodge Demon
Don't remember where I purchased this resin body and hood from. Has to be the worst resin kit I have ever worked with. I had to build it because it is a replica of my 1972 Dodge Demon that I have restored myself. The kit ad so many imperfections from, air holes, warped body and hood WHAT A MESS, but I made do with what I had. The donor kit was an AMT 1/25 scale Plymouth Duster 340.
Even the engine bay was cut from the kit and installed. The "Tuff" steering wheel came from the Monogram 71 Plymouth GTX kit. The hood scoop was carved and reshaped from the Monogram 70 Dodge Challenger T/A kit. Paint was extra from my real Demon, PPG DCC single stage Urethane EV2 "Hemi Orange" wet sanded and polished with Novus #2 plastic polish. The Decals were custom made by a friend in a group years ago. Few things that I still have to do (hahaha). Relocate exhaust tips and finish engine bay. Still have my real Demon too!

Yes indeed, very nice. I had a 73 Dart Sport. It was just a name change.
Great build and great restoration on the real thing! At different times I've had a 75 Duster, a 75 Scamp, an 80 Volare, and 80 Aspen wagon all with bullet proof slant six.
I like it ! Both the full sized version and the smaller cousin...
Years ago my younger brother had a 71 Demon and we dropped a 440 into it. Had to use fender well headers on it back then.
A few years ago I restored a 340 Plymouth Duster. I was a 4 speed car and "Lemon Twist" yellow. I took every nut and bolt off it and did a full rotisserie restoration on it.
Here it is a bare metal shell with no paint.
This is how it looked after countless hours of block sanding and test fitting panels. At this point I had painted the interior and underneath portions of the car...

The underside looked just as nice as the top... Here you can see the complete TTI 3 inch exhaust system from the ceramic coated headers to the stainless exhaust tips.
Finished ! If you look close in the next picture you can barely see my 1970 Challenger in the garage. It is scheduled for restoration next.

A bodies are nice, but my true Mopar love are the E bodies.

Louis, wow looks great! Did a rotisserie rest on mine as well in 1997. Was finished in 2001. Same here every nut and bolt and accessories were restored. I'm sorry now that I didn't paint the underside of my car the same as the top. Mine is all undercoated with thin PPG undercoating. My demon is all numbers matching 318 car. I didn't have the heart to go bigger. Didn't want to stray from originality. I still have her and looks as good today as it did when I finished her. Secret is don't drive them in the rain or wet streets. I even restored an all original 1972 Chrysler sport satellite boat with her original trailer and Chrysler 55hp outboard. All for $200. Wasn't running and was a mess. Looks brand new now and she runs like a bandit!
I also did TTI exhaust to their stainless steel tips. Mine is 2 1/2" pipe coming off stock manifolds .
