Moonlander finished
This article is part of a series:
Finished the 1/350 Pegasus Hobbies Moonlander last night. This was a really fun project outside of what I usually build. I used Mission Models paints throughout and added a few LEDs to give it some drama. I also used the excellent Paragrafix PE set for some added detail. I think it all turned out pretty well. I shot the photo in my studio using a Schneider 90mm Tilt/Shift Makro lens at a low angle to give it some drama. I'll start on the moon base today.
Real nice! Looks great.
Willy Ley and Chesley Bonestell would approve, George.
Super work!
It’s a great project with a truly awesome model of the real thing. The lights do add a lot to the project.
Beautiful.
Great stuff! Already finished. Jee, well done! Liked!
Thanks, all. I'm glad you like it. It is a very cool subject that I've been interested in for a long time.
Something different and very "neat"! Sometimes a project like that gets the modeling mojo moving. Nice job, George.
Thanks, Gary. Yes, you're absolutely correct. Now I'm jazzed about building some SciFi stuff. I just oredered a Maschinen Krieger kit that I can't wait to get started on.
Wow. That is a superlative work especially adding the lighting. Can't wait to see the finished diorama.
You really brought it to life George, super job.
What, all those tubes and tanks for that little ball on top?! The light does really add that extra dimension and human touch, bloody well done. T/S lenses are great, I´ll have one in next life.
Great work George, wonderful project the lighting really sets it off!
And a great photo of it! It'll look fantastic on a moon base...
that really kicks
