Trumpeter 1/32 A-10 Warthog

February 9, 2020 · in Aviation · 8 · 5.1K

This is actually a fairly easy kit to build. The main problem area is the fuselage - I had to use a lot of filler. The canopy is not accurate so I bought a vacuum-form replacement. However, I couldn't make the canopy resin parts work with he canopy so I opted to use the kit canopy.

The load out is unrealistic but by weight (12,664 lbs), it is plausible given the maximum load out is 16,000 lbs.

  1. Finely executed big bird. Great details, paintwork and moderate weathering.
    Regards Djordje

  2. Good looking warthog Richard. It's the plane the USAF didn't want but pilots love to fly them . They are very effective in ground attack.

  3. Awesome build! The guys on the ground love it too.

  4. The Chair Farce had to be dragged kicking and screaming to take this and have tried so many times people have lost count to get rid of it, but it's the most effective airplane they own. But since it's there to help the Army, very few A-10 pilots make it past LCOL and I don't think anyone has made it to general.

Very nice work, and I bet an A-10 could hang around long enough under fire to use up all that varied ordnance on the different targets intended.

  5. Gotta love the Warthog! Looks nice all muscled up. Well done.

  6. where to find 1/32 Wart Hog decals
