Subaru Impreza WRC 2001 – TAMIYA

October 6, 2020 · in Automotive · · 8 · 3K

So, this is practically my first model (I do some models before, but they're about 4 years ago). I got the kit for Christmas and I was really happy for the excellent model.
I started with a chassis that was very simple, it's made up of a lot of parts, but it fits together nicely. The interior followed next. It was also relatively simple, except for the decals, they were a little more demanding. And at the end of the body, it was excellent in construction. It is painted with TS-50 spray paint. The glass had masks, so it was easy. It was time for the remaining decals. It went surprisingly well, except for the side decals, which were made of one piece and therefore were quite difficult to apply, but in the end I succeeded, albeit with smaller cracks, but it doesn't look so bad again. So that's how the construction went. I'm happy with the result, so.

  1. Welcome and Good Job. Very nicely constructed, and finished. Decals at times can be the bane of model building. All you can do is struggle on and learn from our experiences.

  2. Welcome, nice job. I really like the paint scheme. Nice to see another modeler similar to my age.

  3. Tamiya made some great rally car models at about that time, and this one is a fine example.

  4. 🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
