1/25 Revell Snap Tite Peterbuilt 387 log truck conversion
I also like heavy trucks and do a few from time to time. This was a cheap kit at the LHS that I decided to test my scratching and grafting skill level on...and it occupied the bench for a fair amount of time.
The dump box is from an AMT Autocar, the stacks were scratched since the kit ones were awful and would not clear the cab protector in any case, and a fair amount of solder and wire was used for wiring harnesses, air lines and such.
This was done about a year ago, I want to say it took about eight weeks serve me right for being cocksure
The truck looks great! Very nice.
Great result, Mark @markh
Engine and cabling look superb.
Thanks gents
It always tickles me to take something that looks like a toy and try to make a scale model out of it
Love that engine,a model in its own right.
Amazing job, Mark!
Nothing better than tackling a less than perfect kit and come up with such a wonderful result!
Nice to see something different here at iModeler.
I see you have weathered the engine a bit. May I humbly suggest you try something similar on the rest of the model? It will create more depth to details and give you a sense of a hard working beast.
Many thanks to all for the positive waves
Stellan perhaps on the next one, this one's in the clutches of the LHS and they get pouty when I suggest removing it
That's what I call a beautiful engine!
I like the "rest" too!;)
