Arma Hobby Bell Airacobra Builds
Here are a pair of Arma Hobby Bell P-39D / P-400 Airacobras which I recently completed. The Arma P-39s are excellent kits which build up well and look the part, these were built OOB with no aftermarket or scratchbuilding of any kind. Despite the kit coming with three ball bearings to provide weight to the nose, I had to add some extra weight behind the prop, my builds would have definitely been tail-sitters otherwise.
First is a Bell P-39D Airacobra of the 31st Pursuit Group participating in the Carolina Maneuvers, October and November of 1941. This Airacobra was assigned to the Headquarters Flight, and carries the high-visibility markings of an Umpire's aircraft.
“Hawkeye II / Pat” was one of several Airacobras appropriated from a British order and sent to the South Pacific. The camouflage is to British specifications. This aircraft was assigned to the 39th Fighter Squadron / 35th Fighter Group operating out of Port Moresby, New Guinea during the summer of 1942. The pilot was Lt. Eugene A. Wahl of Indianapolis, Indiana, who was credited with a total of eight aerial victories.

Well done on both, Jeff
Those Arma kits build up nice, and both of these are excellent! That yellow-tailed bird is a very cools scheme - I've never seen that before.
Excellent Airacobras, Jeff!
Nicely done x2 Jeff.
Wow, they both look very cool! Great paintjobs on both of them.
Both Cobras look wonderful, Jeff @inchhigh
From the outdoor pictures you have the idea that they are ready for take off.
