1/48 Hasegawa Hurricane IIc "Persian Trainer"

February 21, 2013 · in Aviation · · 3 · 1.7K

This was done about ten years ago. I had an extra set of cockpit interior parts, having done one with a resin cockpit for a review, so I decided that since I had this old Aeromaster sheet of foreign Hurricanes with markings for a Persian airplane that I would do the one and only Hawker-built 2-seater, built in 1943 for the Persian Air Force. Other than cutting back the rear fuselage, it was a conversion that didn't take a lot of effort. I decided to do it in the original configuration of two open cockpits; when it was delivered it had an enclosed rear cockpit.

  1. Great two-seater. Nice work.

  2. Great to see a "different" Hurricane. Very nice job Tom.

  3. Now this was an esoteric conversion. First time I see this one built in model form. Ugly but delightful!
