I am aged 71 in May 2024, I have lived in Sydney Australia since I was 3, have been modeling again since around 2000, I am a member of IPMS, NSW, my main interest is Australian Defence Force aircraft, military aerobatic team aircraft and helicopters, VTO, other themes are NASA, variable geometry / swing wing, all in 1/72 scale, also racing cars in 1/20 and 1/24 scale, also bikes in 1/12 and 1/9 scale, also some 1/144 and 1/200 scale aircraft, also 1/350 scale ships.
1/72 Special Hobby, another pair of engines closely followed by an airframe! the only one to serve with the RAAF for evaluation. I modified a few things, finished in Humbrol and MM enamels with Future over kit and spare decals.
1/72 Airfix, finished in Alclad and MM enamels with Future over PM kit decals.
1/72 Academy, my third Kittyhawk so far, I modified a few things, finished in Polly Scale acrylics and MM enamels with Matt Cote over Tally Ho decals, this aircraft was flown by Sqn Ldr Stan Galton.
1/72 Academy, my second Catalina, I modified and added a few things, finished in MM enamels with Future and Micro flat over Aussie, Model decal and spares.
1/72 Hasegawa, My first Blue Angel, their seventh, finished in Alclad, MM and Testors enamels with Future over kit decals.
1/72 Airfix, my only completed biplane so far, I modified a few things and added some rigging, finished in Tamiya, Humbrol and MM enamels with Aussie and Red Roo decals.
1/72 Academy, the second of my Kittyhawks so far, I modified a few things, finished in Humbrol and MM enamels with Tamiya X22, + X21 over Aussie and Badger decals. Flown by Flt Lt Les Jackson DFC and Bar with 5 victories.
1/72 Italeri / MPM, I modified a few things, finished in Xtracolor and MM enamels with Future and POLLY Scale flat over kit decals.
1/72 Academy, my first Catalina, not counting the the Airfix kit built many years ago, I modified a few things and added some antennae, finished in Humbrol and MM enamels with Future and MM FS30000 acrylic over ES decals.
