I'm in for a Mosquito, Paul. I've got a 1:48 Tamiya Mk IV that is calling my name.

    Paul,
Please sign me up with the new Airfix 1/48 Defiant... It was the random monthly award I was chosen for here on Imodeler a while back. Martin and his staff sent it to me, and I promised them to start a build log when the time was right.

I have been itching to get it going... This is the perfect excuse. The timing is perfect.

There will be more later down the line, but I want others to be able to jump in and make their choices first before I add any additional builds.

    Here's wishing everyone a Merry Christmas !
    Thanks

    At a minimum, I'll do a Fujimi Phantom FGR.2 (1/72).

Good morning Paul and Merry Christmas, put me down for the 1/48th Tamiya No.617 Lancaster Dambuster, Bristol Beaufighter, for WWII, Revell Euro fighter Typhoon in 48th scale, this one will be in the commemorative WWII camo scheme, (perfect for this GB) and a Desert Storm Buccaneer in 72nd scale.

Fantastic Greg – this GB just wouldn’t be complete without Phantoms!

And Chuck - that's a stunning, perfectly chosen and massive contribution - Dambusters; Desert Storm/Granby and the Typhoon in Memorial flight camo is a pocket history of the RAF in itself!

Many thanks to you both and Merry Christmas!

Frederick J Seitz III said 6 years, 11 months ago:

    Hey Folks,
I'd like to be counted in with:
    1) 1:48 scale Lancaster Mk.III, the regular bomber version
    2) 1:32 scale Spitfire Mk.II
    3) 1:48 scale English Electric, Lightning
    4) 1:48 scale Hawker Hurricane Mk.II, (If I can manage it)

Ambitious, I know, but I'm going to start work on these buggers straight away...

Nothing wrong with ambition, Frederick! Thanks so much for this huge contribution to the group. Have a brilliant holiday (but probably not from building, apparently!).

Frederick, if you let me know the manufacturers of the kits I'll add them to the list! And I'd be really grateful you let me know if I have got the years right (the Lightning went on a long time!). Thanks again!

A few years ago I did a US Naval Aviation 75th Anniversary GB, which was the whole year, and I did a WWII Tamiya Buffalo (USN), Korean War Monogram Skyraider(USMC), Vietnam Hobbycraft Skyhawk(USN), Cold War Trumpeter Vigilante(USN)and I ran out of time to do a Desert Storm Monogram Harrier(USMC).

Incredible Chuck - that's more than a year's worth for me currently. I think with your Eurofighter you may well have the most recent aircraft in the group. I don't know if that plane still carries those colours - if it does it will probably fly in one of the planned RAF100 events next year.

Paul we'll see if we can make a small contribution to this Group Build. Not use to doing bi-planes but I'm for a SE-5, plus a Typhoon and a Hawk T. Nothing ventured nothing gained as the old saying goes. Likewise, may you and your family have a very Merry Christmas
