Hi Lewis @lgardner! I just love 1/32 Revells. They are impressive indeed, and I have built quite a few of them. The 1/32 Uhu is mostly impressive and I am seriously thinking getting one, in spite of my willingness and hard efforts to reduce the size of my SoD. On top of that, it is currently 30% off normal price at an Athens hobby shop. How long can I resist?
I so much agree with you for the benefits of multiple builds; and may I add another one: when motivation on a kit is compromised (ie endless filling and sanding 1/32 Tornado sessions), you stop for a couple or more days, grab your (say) Korean C-47 and return to the Tornado with refreshed and reset motivation. Aren't multiple builds wonderful?
Thanks for kind words!
And a small update:
-
1. Better safe than sorry....
Started to assemble the landing gear.
I took another "no risk approach", and superglued two pins in the NLG hollow innards.

1. Looking lovely.....
Yes, they are the kit supplied LGs!
No, they are not resins !
This is how they look, some extra parts (struts and bellcranks) need to be glued.
They do look nice, don't they?
