Your Griffon turned out beautifully, my friend @gwskat! Looking absolutely superb, very detailed. Loved the way you routed the copper wiring! Thank you so much for entering your Griffon to the Aeroengines GB, which steadily becomes enriched with gorgeous looking engines. Congratulations!
Thanks, Spiros @fiveten I'm glad I was able to contribute to this build. I will be adding some more detail to the engine but that will happen when I add the engine to airframe.
Wait! Bonus addition to the "completed" build:
Added the valve cover Rolls-Royce name and symbol using individual letter decals. For added support at assembly I added a rod which will insert into the firewall.
Great rendition of the Rolls Royce name, my friend @gwskat! Nice supporting rod!
Great add-on, Gary @gwskat
So I went to test fit the Griffon to the airframe and I realized I had the carb/injector unit on upside down...Oooops! Oh well...popped 'er off and re-added back correctly. Now it fits! Funny how that works...LOL
Looks better now indeed, my friend @gwskat!
A tiny beauty ! Fine implementation of a nice model , well done Gary !
Indeed, looks better this way, Gary @gwskat
Seafire Fr 47: Korea: The Forgotten War Group Build
Well done, my friend @gwskat! What a wonderful aircraft AND engine model! Your Griffon was a real jewel! Thanks for entering it on our slowly but steadily enriched Aeroengines! GB! I feel really honored!
Lovely model,,,,there is a stand mounted Griffon atthe Palm springs museum,,,,next to the "do not touch" sign,,,Of course I touched one of the braided plug wires which proceeded to fall off the plug to my horror and shame,,
