    Thanks my friend @faraomike!
Yep, some silver dry brushing and general staining will take for sure place, will try to make that engine look averagely used.
I am onto the mounting base research now, trying to find a suitable one, or modify one, or, oh well!

What do you think about a simple "logo base" ?

Mounted on an old Matchbox base...

Almost done, only missing some minor touch ups and the final coat...
    Thanks for stopping by!

What a nice engine. It will look great on display.

Thanks my friend @airbum: a respectable model in itself, with an almost 50 parts count, an El Cheapo modeler who doesn't throw anything away, well, you get the picture...

Touch ups here and there, a hefty black wash, a generous silver dry brushing and a final satin coat annnnnd...

    Finished!

Thank you so much for stopping by my thread, with special thanks to my friends @lgardner, @mikegolf, @garybrantley, @faraomike and @airbum who took th time leaving their supportive/constructive comments here!

Saw a 1710 at an airshow a few weekends ago... enjoy! Got to see it run, and idle through 5 gallons of gas in just over a minute.

    Awesome build, Spiros @fiveten
Nicely presented on those well known (for the older modellers) Matchbox bases.

Ahhhh, those Matchbox bases, from the Matchbox kits, put joyfully together "in an afternoon"...
