Pretty cool Bernard (@lis). I think you've captured that scene that perhaps many of us would like to replicate ourselves. I can imagine the man standing on the fuselage trying to maintain his balance in those rolling seas and worrying that he might fall into the water. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Terrific work on both the model and the diorama, Bernard (@lis). I have been so busy with the holidays that I totally missed your work on this seaplane. The KP models I have built had some issues, but this one came out really nicely. Well done.

Thank you for your positive ratings. I can't wait for the Dornier Do-24 from Revell to finally arrive from Germany. Then I will test the water techniques again. For the first time it turned out quite promising. In any case, Modeler's world is worth recommending. I was afraid that today's weather would spoil taking good photos, but it turned out quite well. I just came back from an outdoor session and I'm going to start making a slideshow.

PS. George, You are right. KP kits has their issues. Unfortunetly during this build I need to use putty i all seams of fuselage, and wings. Canpy has very tight fit, and it started to crack during installation. Therefore, to mask its imperfections, I made an imitation of windshield wipers, and I made imitation of wiper marks on the windshield, by semi gloss clear whiped in right places by earstick with thinner.

I can't see anything wrong with the windscreen, Bernard (@lis). If there were problems, I don't see them. Nice job.

    A wonderful diorama, Bernard @lis
This Widgeon is nicely displayed in its natural environment.

@gblair I try to hide it under whippers and dirty glass. You can see it on corner in right on photo. I forgot to write few words about undercarridge. Iā€™m do happy that I choose closed undercarridge. Parts on manual looks quite different as in frames. I have idea that bad manual was for Resin prototype.

Hi Bernard (@lis): How to display it is one of the problems that comes with seaplanes. If it has retractable gear and you choose to build it with the gear up, you really have few choices for display other than a diorama base. As you get into larger models, the base also gets larger and takes up a lot of space on your shelf. Your base on this model looks really good and doesn't take up a lot of space. So I don't want at this type guess how it build to be good in look.
