@johnb - Lis is right on. Get yourself some of that Tamiya white elastic tape in a couple of different widths. It’s perfect for curves and going around corners. It’s not quite as sticky as Tamiya’s masking tape but I have had some slight paint pull up incidents using it.

And this is how she looks with the Dark Earth applied as well.

Entering the final stage, which in most cases take the longest.

Classic look! And indeed - 90% finished equals 90% to go before it is finished 🙂

Not a lot of decals for this night bomber.
The provided ones did lay on quite nicely and followed the surface well.
On some location decal softener will be used to improve a bit.

On the tail section the trim rod (PE) and rudder stabilizers (PE as well), at least I think they are stabilizers, are mounted.
I forgot to mount the rudder stabilizers prior the painting, so that still has to be done.

@johnb - wow, that's a lot of progress since your last post a couple of days ago. You're almost there!
Looks like the "worms" worked out great and no paint pulled up. Decals look good too. You really dialed it in. Interesting that there are stabilizers on the tail. Not sure if I have seen that before.
