I have the same experience with vinyl masks John - they are great on flat surfaces, and even reuseable to some extent, but I prefer paper masks whenever they can be found. Nice and dirty undercarriage!

With all the details molded on the inside of the bomb bay, it is a pity that you have no option to leave the doors open.
Trumpeter only provided a single piece which closes up the entire bay.

I decided to do some surgery to be able to build the Wellington with the bay doors open.
The Wellington has five doors and the cutting was made easy by Trumpeter with clear demarcation lines of the doors.
Cleaning up after the seperation still needs to be done.

Nice decision to perform some surgery, in order to display the bomb bay, my friend @johnb!

@lis, thanks Lis. It took me also quite some time before I started the cutting process.

Main landing gear ready to be mounted in the lower wing halves.
Brake lines added as well, they are also part of the Eduard PE set.

The MLG looks really nice, my friend @johnb! It is hard to believe that it is only 1/72, very realistic and superbly weahtered!
