    Great work John .
A little info. The bomb bay has 30 doors in 1/48.

@lgardner, thanks a lot Louis. The shape of a Wellington is indeed very attractive. Till now I'm positively surprised with the fitting, no real cleanup work required till now.

@Matra, thanks Martin. An impressive amount of doors on the Wellington indeed. Trumpeter did mark those seperate doors on the 1/72, but I thought cutting them in 30 1/72 pieces is simply to much. I have cut the entire cover into five longer doors and will try to form them into the correct shape.

As you can see, the wings have been removed again. This to make the progress a bit easier.

Windows on the fuselage and the canopy have been masked and glued. Once again a great fit.

And the Pegasus engines are mounted to the wings.

For the bomb bay doors, I'm thinking of making a small notch to make them easier follow the fuselage once mounted and it will give the impression that all of them are seperate doors, 30 as mentioned by Martin @matra

The molding of the doors do have the markers to make it doable.

    Nice progress, my friend @johnb!
    The engines look great mounted.
The notches at the bay doors seem a good idea.

@johnb - cutting notches sounds like it could work but you might consider doing a deep rescribing instead. Do you have any photo references that show all at least one row of closed bay doors to see how tight the gaps are between each other?

@fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros. Looking into what is the easiest way to get that done.

@lis, thank you, Lis. This kit does build up nicely so far.

@eb801, thanks, Eric. Since the fuselage is not straight at the bottom, the doors will create a space between them when they are fully open. With an incise I hope to get this effect done and it would help to mount the strips I have now more easily on the fuselage.

@johnb - have you considered separating each door by cutting them apart and attaching each one separately?
Man, that Wellington sure has a lot of doors! Great reference photos.

@eb801, as a matter of fact, I have, Eric. Thanks for suggesting. I'm affraid that when seperating all of them, it will be difficult to mount them nicely parallel. I will give it a try on one side first with creating some small cuts. Depending on the outcome I might consider seperating all of them.

Some small work done this time.
Although the exhaust pipes looked already quite nice, I opened up the outlet a bit deeper.
Some PE parts are available on the Eduard set which still need to be mounted.

Propellors and spinners are cleaned and glued together.
