I purchased this Trumpeter Tu-16 right after it came out in 2001. I started it up and got bogged down in color research. Bottom line is that it has resided in the boiler room of my house in Chicago since 2002. 19 years is long enough. I vow to complete it this year!

Even on 1/72, that’s one big beast John.
How about those colors, have you figured it them out? From 2001 to 2021 there are a whole bunch of new paints around, many focusing Modern Russian AF. Hataka and AK Real colors come to mind as example

Greta entry, John @j-healy! I love the Tu-16 and guess what: I recently got the same kit, well the chinese equivalent one, the XIAN JHU-6, brand new, at a killer price of around $25.
Your build might motivate me to give mine a go, too!
    Looking forward to it!

Well, of course! Especially nice work on assembly, @j-healy, so it certainly deserves resuscitation.
