Jay your build is progressing very well. I am looking forward to every installment. The nice thing about Imodeler is that everyone on this site are helpful and all the positive comments are a great source of encouragement. I know your BIG Stuka is going to be a showstopper! Keep up the good work and happy modelling.

That visit to the museum will be a really great event, my friend @ssgt! The real Stuka looks amazing at its dive bombing angle!
Nice that you are going to tackle the pre-shading technique!

It is nice to have it fitting together so nicely…. The correction fluid was able to handle most of the gaps & seams, thanks for that tip., @mornem , Very cool {:-)

In the past I didn’t plan ahead or would do post shading,@fiveten, but it made my 109 look a little nicer, so maybe now preshading will be SOP for me.

HI John @johnb , I think there is one other intact Stuka at a museum in the UK.
There’s another on display that I’ve seen photos of. It looks like it was retrieved from being underwater.

Work on mine seems to be going at a snails pace. Last night I masked of the window on the bottom of the fuselage with some liquid mask . It’s a beautiful turquoise color . It would be a nice nail polish for someone that liked to wear turquoise Indian jewelry .

    Thanks Jay @ssgt
UK is more closeby but currently difficult to reach due to the restrictions.

    Great masking color btw

Yes, John @johnb, our freedom is gradually being restricted... but we can still freely build models, which is what I did for a little bit today.

I built up the “ eggs” for this Stuka Bird to carry, I also continued on fussing over the various seams. Someday I’ll master this and become a seam master.

The "eggs" look very nice, Jay @ssgt
Removing seams is also which I do not master well enough.
It always looks easy but turns out to be more difficult than expected.
Which 110 kit is that in the background of the picture by the way?

    John @johnb ,

The 110 in the background is a 1/48 Revell 110G-2. It seems like a very nice kit. It looks complex and I’m hesitant to start it. I’ve switched gears recently and have been building some older 1/32 kits, they are much simpler and straight forward.

Work has been progressing slowly. This last weekend I was able to finish the airbrushing. Last night and today I’ve been working on the decals. They did very nicely for decals around 50 years old. It was difficult to get them to lay down over all the raised rivets, so they’re far from perfect but I did as well as I could. The snake decals needed to be cut in to about 5 sections to make it easier / possible to get them in to position. I think this week I should be able finish this one up, it’ll be the 4th one I’ve finished in 2021. I sure hope 2022 is a better year, that’s what I said about 2021 too :-/

I also usually cut in smaller pieces some long decals that seem they will give me trouble if attempted to be applied at one piece, my friend @ssgt.
    Looking forward to your progress!

Good idea to cut them in pieces, Jay @ssgt
One piece for sure will get you into trouble and that is not what you want at the end of a build.
