Oh, I think Europe is going to be rather loud with jet model airplane noises now with both you and Spiros getting close to finishing! 🙂

@clipper, let' s hope so. Would be nice to see some of these in flying condition.
@gblair, thank you, George. Still some upcoming challenges like the fuselage stripes and the decals at the air brakes.

Landing gear applied. No issue to have the nose wheel on the ground. I did add a bit of weight in the nose but without the tail this was likely not needed at all.

Also made a start with the decals, used Micro-set prior to apply them. Finally starts to look like an HAF Sabre.

Prepared the gun exit panels for a darker shade. I was crossing my fingers that the masking tape would not tear off the silver paint.

The finger crossing helped and the masks came off without issues thankfully.

@gblair, thank you, George. Might try your approach to get some more panel shades.

Hi John (@johnb): I think your NMF will be a lot more durable than mine was, especially if you want to mask. You can also use a notecard and eliminate any chance that the tape will pull up the paint. Some subtle panel shading makes a big difference.

Anti glare painted as well as the black nose tip. Removed the masks straight after painting and again all silver paint remained so it seems quite durable.
