Great recovery on the painting John (@johnb). You managed to get that done without the paint build up which I know I would have had.

@clipper, thanks a lot, Carl. I'm a bit surprised myself on how the repaint turned out. Simply a bit of luck I would say.

Started with the stencils. As many of you already know, this means a lot of work.

I know exactly. It almost drove me nuts. Good luck with the really small ones!

Some more stencils on the other side of the fuselage. The only part remaining to add stencils to is the tail section.

Cutting the Greek roundles at the air brakes was not that easy but with a new #11 blade it worked quite well.

This is how she looks currently.

Spectacular, John (@johnb). The stripes came out perfectly and look great. Really looks cool with the engine on display, along with the other panels. Great idea to leave them open.

    Excellent work so far, John!
Nice surgery on the roundel too.

Nice work John (@johnb). The paint work looks nice and clean as do the decals. Good job on this part of the build.

@gblair, thank you, George. Leaving everything open and the tail section seperated created more work than I expected but I do like the way it looks with that engine sticking out.

@alfred, thanks a lot, Alfred. It was a bit of nerve wracking cutting those decals and removing the panel without damaging them.

@clipper, thank you, Carl. On to the final bits, lets hope nothing goes wrong before crossing the finish line.

After finishing all the stencils, I continued with some detail painting. The canopy release handle and the canon exit ports are painted red using a tooth pick. Also the air inlet cover is in place.

Hi John (@johnb): Looking better and better all the time, and more complete also. The markings are really vivid on this plane. You are very close to the finish line.
