    Followed the instructions and glued the upper wing elements to the lower section. Dry fitting showed a minor gap at the wing root. To get rid of this gap I used an 'advanced' setup, just a little force from the elastics was required to reduce the gap to zero. Will leave it like this for another 12 hours at least.

    Well done, John (@johnb). Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best.

    Taken off the elastics and wing roots do look quite good, no gaps.

    I noticed that the interior green for the gun bays was incorrect, should have been silver. So I repainted them.

    I would have thought interior green also, John (@johnb). Good catch.

    @gblair, thanks, George. Had some look at various pictures around the net and noticed that most of them are painted this way if I'm not mistaking.
    @fiveten, thank you, Spiros

    Did some detail painting on the engine and applied some wash.

    Test fitting the front part of the canopy did show a not so optimal fit. I need to check what the best approach is to improve the fit.

    Good progress, John (@johnb). There was a lot of cut and fit on my canopy also, plus some acrylic putty. It looks like your plane is camouflaged. I thought yours was natural metal.

    Engine looks great, my friend @johnb! Pity for the canopy, will need some trim work to fit.

    @gblair, thank you, George. The green is an overspray of the first run to paint the gunbays. For the canopy I was thinking of using Revell contacta clear to level the areas around the canopy.
    @fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros.
