A short update on the first proceedings on the Wolfhounds Sabre.

Based on the experiences shared by George @gblair I decided to close both gun bays. As they were hard to align with the surface of the fuselage, I used some Pritt Multi Tack gum to fix them first and then glued them.

I also figured out which auxiliary tanks to use.

As I am not planning to use any aftermarket stuff other than the Wolfhounds decal set, I will probably close the canopy as well because there's not a lot of detail there especially with respect to the ejection seat.

Or I might add the pilot figure, not sure yet.

Everything is looking great, Alfred (@alfred). It seems like all of the panels that are separate all need help fitting correctly, and in some cases, a lot of help. Looking forward to your next steps.

Some good progress already, Alfred @alfred
The interior is quite spartanic by default indeed, a good idea to keep the canopy closed.

@alfred - the decal placement instructions are wrong. The USAF on the right wing (and the lower left) are not parallel to the flaps/ailerons. That is at an angle, as demonstrated in these photos of one of my Sabres.

    Thanks, Tom. @tcinla
I guess this Wolfhounds Sabre looks OK wrt the placement of the USAF marking? (see picture)

Currently working on the cockpit. It will be without any aftermarket stuff. Inspired by John @johnb I also decided to add a cushion to the ejection seat. The basis is a piece of sponge, I have to see how this works out though once the Microscale Kristal Clear has dried and I can shaping the cushion with a bit of putty.

I also added the first two seat belts made from masking tape and some PE scrap.

As such trying to spice things up a bit, although there’s a fair chance I will shut the canopy anyway.

    More to come, cheerio.

You are really moving, Alfred (@alfred). It looks like you have moved quickly past the problem areas with the fuselage and are ready to add the wings. Looking good!
