    Thanks guys! @johnb @gblair @clipper
Will do some more research on the correct angle with respect to the air brakes.

Perfect result, my friend @alfred! Net available pics will help you a lot to determine the stance of the air brakes when deployed.

    Hi guys, bad luck ā€¦

Unfortunately I made a terrible mistake with the buzz number decal.

Its offset is not correct and as such the pre-cut star and bars sign does not fit in its original place on the air brake anymore.

I decided to leave it as is and accept the mistake as correction is just too much hassle if not impossible as the decal was already protected by a layer of gloss.

So, the star and bars are now also positioned approximately 5 mm offset and will be cut to allow the air brake to be re-opened in a next bench session.

With hindsight I realize I should have done the pre-cut star and bars on the air brakes first, so you learn every day.

The tedious process of applying stencils did not make me happy either, so Iā€™m done for today, pfff ā€¦ šŸ˜’

I always look forward to the decals on a model, Alfred (@alfred), because they really make the model look cool and signal that you are nearing the end of the build. But I also approach the decals with a little fear because they have the power to really mess things up. And stencils, it goes without saying that they occupy a special level of Hades.

Sorry to hear this, Alfred @alfred
In the end when you have the air brakes open, it will be hardly noticable.

No worries, my friend @alfred: will look great in the end, hardly noticeable. As one of my ex-commanders used to say "many will see, very few will notice".

Air brake decals operation successfully completed āœ”ļø
It was quite nerve wrecking, I must admit.
Also some more stencils applied, sigh šŸ˜Œ

All looking excellent so far, my friend @alfred! Yes, the F-86 carried a ton of stencils šŸ™‚

    Thanks my friends @gblair @fiveten @johnb
Still a lot of stencils to go, undercarriage and some other bits and things.
But we are getting there, to be continued ā€¦

The stars and bars over the speed brake don't seem out of place to me at all. This is looking great Alfred (@alfred). I've been lucky so far regarding stencils. Haven't had to deal too much with them.Worse so far was Airfix Spitfire 1 several years ago and the Eduard Hellcat (because the stencils were unreadable and misidentified). I do have a Phantom II kit though! šŸ˜
