It's been a while since I have commented on your Hurricane. It really looks magnificent ! This Desert Scheme is my favorite of all the British camouflages they had in WW2. By the looks of things your Spitfire is at the same stage as this one is. QC1 and QC2 have been doing a good job ! I'm looking forward to seeing the decals on it. Happy New Year.

@gblair and @lgardner, thank you my friends!
George, thanks a lot! Indeed, the desert schemes look nice (and also do not include the dreaded leading edge yellow bands 🙂
Louis, thanks so much! Indeed, QC1 and QC2 are invaluable assistants!
    Happy New Year!

You are ripping right along Spiros@fiveten. Two at once appears to be the way to go.

I recently learned those dreaded yellow leading edge bands were about 4 inches in height top and bottom. It was somebody’s brainstorm that lead to painting those leading edges yellow as a visual ID aid so RAF pilots wouldn’t mistake them for Luftwaffe fighters.

Thanks my friend @eb801! Great info on those ID lines. I love them but they are a pain to paint.

    They are indeed.
