Good Day Gents,
I'm gonna through my hat into the ring for this group if that's okay with you guys, recently finding a kit that caught my fancy - the Bell AH-1S Cobra kit from Hasegawa # 00535. Here are some pics - more info to follow.
Nothing too complicated - could be considered a bit 'drab' 😉 -- okay, enough with the jokes.
Considering it's Hasegawa, I'm not expecting too many complications.

Nice pick George, this is a nice kit. Looking forward to see your "call it done" shots.

I was finally able to get back to this kit, being busy over Christmas and 'helping' my son remodel his kitchen.

The building pace kinda got ahead of itself as this kit goes together pretty quickly.

Some nice detail on the sides and overall, kit is very good . I will need a little filler on the side wings and the top of the engine housing.

Big tub of a cockpit where kit decals will be used and I'll consider using the pilot figures just to add some dynamics to the area.

Tow Missiles and Rocket Launcher assembled easily and look pretty good.

Main rotor had about six tree connection points which were cleaned up before the first spray coat of Falt Black XF-1.

Front cannons sprayed with XF-56 Metallic Grey .

Not a bad kit at all, nice to build a more 'recent' Hasegawa kit.

After a brushed coat of Pledge the decals were applied. I actually forgot I applied a coat of Decal Film on the kit decals and did not trim them properly. The extra untrimmed Decal Film on the first few decals started to removed the paint finish before I figured thing out. No more issues once the decals were properly trimmed.

Final Satin coat applied once the main rotor and canopy protected.
