Drying timeshould be sufficient, Erik @airbum
Those details are indeed a pleasure for the eye.

    Thanks gents - another update;

    Half cool

One of the radiators were partly assembled and the IP is added

I installed the upper IP after the decals had set (for a few weeks)

They look very nice – and are totally sufficient for a closed canopy version if nothing else.

The radiators are a multi-piece multi media affair

Again it seems like it has been done a bit more complicated than needed – but at least it will enable superdetailing OOB!

It seems a bit strange that the parts are spread like they are on the trees, as can be seen from the last picture the parts for the right side comes from each side of the tree. In my opinion a possible mistake in a rushed build, but then again, we all read the instructions with great care when building a kit – right?

next up probably more radiators and most likely a radiator – may even involve some PE stuff!

    Looking great, my friend @airbum!
The IP looks amazing for an open canopy!
Instructions? Instructions? We don't need no stinking instructions (till it's too late)!

Good progress my friend Erik @airbum
Those PE for the radiator flaps are a bit of a pain, but you’ll get them “bend to your will”
Mine is mostly painted, but my modelling time as been few and at occasions. I’ll do an tomorrow or so

Thanks @johnb, @fiveten, @j-healy and @holzhamer. I did not quite get around to the radiator flaps yet, but concentrated on the cockpit to get it nearer to primer.

    Legs, belts and windscreens

Felt like having a go at these seatbelts today

A few days ago I did glue the legs in place

I find that to be no problem on my 109’s as they are usually quite strong.

The seatbelts were bent and testfitted

That went rather well, so a speedy paint and glue followed

And that again gave me the opportunity to get the windscreens on

And the intake was installed too.

next up – dare I guess? – probably some radiators and a cooler? Tune in again to check

    Nice progress, Erik @airbum
Are those seatbelts part of the kit or did you buy an aftermarket set.

Thanks @johnb, the retainingstrap was first mentioned in my "109 werke" ½ year ago when I first stumbled upon it - first time it has been inclyded in a kit (and AFAIK no AM kits has them) the post should be here: https://imodeler.com/groups/work-in-progress-aircraft/forum/topic/messerschmitt-bf-109-werke/?topic_page=14&num=15 with a bit of luck - if not, it is on page 14, a little bit down the page, in the topic when you search for 109 werke in topics. A really useful feature.

@airbum, oeps sorry, forgot about that. Seems like my memory let me down (once again 🙂 ).
    Thanks for refreshing my memory.

Erik @airbum, one word of caution - since you have already glued the UC legs don’t attach the tail wheel until all is done, mine snapped while spraying the gloss coat today. The insert of the tail wheel to the fuselage is so tight no glue is required, but it is a fragile piece nonetheless

Geez, Pedro @holzhamer, don’t you hate When that happens! Can’t tell you how many times that’s happened to me.

Had a chance to catch up here Erik @airbum. Your Wingsy is really coming along. That cockpit looks great. Did you decal each instrument individually or? Are those rudder pedals typical of early Emils? They look they would fit Big Foot. Just kidding. Be careful with that main gear.
