Priming is that mid way mile stone when the building is done and the paint/finish begins. Nice work, John. Looking forward to seeing the colors added.

I like the choice of Heinz Bar's airplane. The most successful 262 pilot.

Really nice work on this whole project, @johnb. It's going to be very impressive when finished. You're really becoming A Force To Be Reckoned With.

It’s starting to come together now, John. It’s gonna look great, I can’t wait to see it.

Great craftsmanship on this model, John. I like the way you fixed the wing dihedral with creative use of clamps and elastics. I always have a hard time getting those particular plastic clamps to work for me and your solution is very creative. Good to see the model primed and ready for major painting. Looking forward to more.

    John, @johnb
It has been a little while since I have commented on your magnificent 262. I too like your choice of markings, as Heinz Bar is a great choice for this one. I also am very impressed with the internal details provided in this kit, like the radio, cockpit and cannon bays have turned out. Your attention to detail is shining brightly. Well done !

I will definitely be looking forward to updates. Lately I have not had much spare time for building, and I have not checked in here as often as I once did. This doesn't mean I'm not following along, as I do regularly, but without logging in.

I have quite a few of these HB 262 kits in the stash. I have not built any of them yet, so it is good to see how nice they can turn out. Thanks !

Stay safe and keep on building.

@fiveten, Thanks a lot Spiros, primer did not reveal anything seriously, just some small touch-ups, like always.

@gwskat, thank you Gary, when entering the primer stage I always tend to speed up things to bring it to the finish line, I have to tell myself not to rush it.

@tcinla, thanks for your kind words Tom, Bär definitely knew how to handle this exceptional plane.

@gblair, thank you George. Primer means getting it seriously closer to the finish line.

    @popeofchillitown, thanks Ben.

@coling, Sometimes you have to be creative to get everything correctly fixed, Colin. Something which is not new to you 😉

@lgardner, thank you Louis, the red accents are beautiful on Bär's aircraft. Interior work is what I like the most, don't know why because later on most is covered.

First work after returning from holiday on the Me262.
Nothing serious yet but the final preperation before bringing on the bottom side camouflage.
Pre-shading using Vallejo Model Air - black.

    Thanks my friends @fiveten @airbum

Just finished the lower camouflage color RLM76.
Would like to know your opinion about the bottomside color covering the pre-shading.
To me it doesn't look that bad.

Perhaps just a very thin layer extra? After all they did not recieve too much paint so this might actually do. To the naked eye it will probably look a bit different than the picture on a screen?

Either 'leave as is ", or with an extra thin layer, per our friend's @airbum suggestion, the bottom looks (or will look) spectacular, my friend @johnb!

@johnb: just caught up to your build here and what great markings you've chosen. I think the bottomside
color and preshading looks spot on to me. I'd say "leave as is".

It's so hard to tell by looking at online photos isn't it?

    Pre-shading looks great, John (@johnb). I wouldn't change a thing.
