    Back on the Build
I've made some progress and started painting the plane. I sprayed thinned Tamiya black down first and followed with Vallejo RLM 76. Might add some cameo later this week but in a few days I will be taking a 3 week leave of absence from modeling and heading out the door with my wife for an overseas trip to North Africa.

    @eb801
I had completely forgot about this WIP of yours Eric.
You’ve done some major progress with your Kurt Tank marvel, it’s looking very good indeed. Keep it going

Just returned from three week adventure in Jordan and Egypt checking out Petra and the Pyramids. Covid managed to finally check me out after all these years and we had to spend five days quarantined in our Cairo hotel. Back in action now, so it's off to the...

    Paint Dept.

(above) I masked the fuselage off and sprayed the top wing with Tamiya Nato Green XF-67 for RLM 82 and a 50/50 mix of Khaki Olive Drab XF-51 and Dark Green XF-61 for RLM 83. Then I flipped the plane over and sprayed "bullets" of RKM 83 to simulate the "scalloped" underside leading edge camo as shown on most Ta 152's followed by a bit of cleanup:

When all was dry, I masked off the wings and finished the top fuselage camo with the same color combination using my trusty Paasche H:

    Decals are next.

Good to see you picking up this kit again Eric. The camo is looking good, particularly the mottled fuselage.
Bad luck getting the new flu on your vacations, too bad Egypt still forces quarantine 🙁 Still that was a trip to remember for the good resons

@eb801 - Trusty Paasche H's will always do the job right. Looking good.

Glad you survived the Covid. I had a light case of it last month. Now that I can leave the house for longer than an hour, since I'm the only occupant now I went to a model meeting with a friend and wouldn't you know it, dumb enough to take the mask off and five days later - fortunately fully vaxxed, so I was only getting kicked by viruses wearing steel-toed work boots for 24 hours, then three days to get back to normal. If that was the "light" version, I don't want to meet big bad brother!

    A Bit More Progress
Still in the paint shop. Just finished the yellow-red band. I need to do some touch up and apply a gloss coat and get ready for decals.

The red/yellow band looks perfect, Eric @eb801
A pity about the lost paint but it seems doable to get it repaired.

    Decals On!
Out of the paint shop now and using EagleCals Ta 152Hs sheet 133, it's ready for the fine details now.

I sealed the plane with Testor's Dullcote which leaves a rough finish that is easily smoothed out using a couple of Kimtech wipes to "polish" it out. Getting closer to the finish line. So far this build is going very smoothly with no issues.
