About this Group
Jerry Crandall changed the way we thought about the Luftwaffe with his careful and complete research. As an historian myself, I always valued the conversations I had with him on the topic of what wasSolid Research. I had an idea that actually LOOKING HARD at a photograph would reveal lots of things and that 90 percent of the mistakes made in historical research stemmed from the failure to do that. He replied that I was Absolutely Right! You can see his committment to doing that in everything he did - the paintings, the books, the decals.
So this group build is a celebration of what he did. To join, do a model using EagleCals decals. It runs for as long as anyone's interested.

Apparently, I have a few more decals from Eagle Cals than I previously thought. I started building this kit with the intent of building it as an RAF, Desert Air Force air frame. Model is built and now painted, […]

The Ju87G-1 is finished. Completed with MRP paints. I liked them very much as they did not require a gloss coat before applying the decals. The decals themselves were great with no silvering and they responded […]

Hey Tom@tcinla. I'll honor Jerry's memory by using EagleCal Ta-152H sheet #133. I have a DML/Trimaster kit that's been begging me for attention ever since 1991, so thank you Jerry for the motivation. The kit […]
